Designed as a press experience for journalists and media covering Capital One’s Alex Prager installation at Miami Art Week 2025, “One Surreal Night” transforms a traditional media preview into a cinematic story guests can live and later retell.

Selected media are invited into Alex Prager’s surreal, retro-Hollywood world through a high-touch “Get Glam With Me” activation. The journey begins with a nostalgic, viewfinder invitation, then continues at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, where guests are welcomed into a curated Art Deco hotel-room setting with white-glove service, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, styling, hair, makeup, and tailoring.

The goal is to make each journalist feel like the star of their own Prager-inspired film before entering the Mirage Factory installation. Their transformation culminates in a paparazzi-style glam shot as they exit the hotel and step into a vintage car, creating a memorable emotional hook and highly visual material for coverage.
Each attendee later receives a personalized souvenir: a leatherbound portfolio featuring their glam photo and a fictional screenplay inspired by the day they just lived. The result is a press moment engineered to deepen their understanding of Prager’s world while giving them something far more interesting to write about than a standard media preview.
